POSITION SUMMARY:
Sun Solutions is looking for a full-time, experienced Cutter Operator at our Columbia facility. Cutter Operator performs set-up, adjustments and safe operation of our cutting equipment. They also prepare print jobs to be packed, collated and/or bound, ensuring that all items produced meet customer specifications.
SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED
- 2-3 years of experience in the print industry – operating cutting machinery
- Review job tickets and plan work processes to meet customer specifications
- Set-up and adjust cutter in accordance with instructions and job requirements
- Operate cutter and ancillary equipment to cut material into desired dimensions
- Evaluate and make decisions concerning quality of product while cutting
- Perform routine maintenance, such as blade replacement, lubrication, and waxing
- Demonstrates initiative and a strong sense of urgency to meet deadlines
- Extended hours may be required to meet all daily orders
